First bike ride in Costa Rica

Hi hi guys

I’m going to tell you about my first time on my new bike in Costa Rica. Our original plan was to go to the farmers market. We wound up changing our mind because it was our first time on our bikes and we wanted to go to a closer shop.

It started out really rough. My bike chain kept getting stuck and I couldn’t figure out why. It was kind of infuriating in a way. I would start peddling and I would get a good rhythm, and then my chain would seize up. It was making me really mad. And then I decided to turn around and head back.

On the way back, I saw a really cute dog and her little puppy. I’m forgetting a little bit how the mom looked but I think she was like white and brown. And then the puppy was the fluffiest thing in the world. It looked like it was almost gee I don’t know. The truth is I don’t really know how to tell how old puppies are. I put my bike down because well you guys understand it’s a puppy!🥳🐶 how could I resist its cuteness powers? I wound up petting the puppy and the mama a lot, no human being on the planet can resist the cuteness powers of a little puppy.

I picked up my bike and started riding back, but the silly little puppy started following me. 😲 I turned around and told the little puppy to go home. When I turned back on my bike and started riding again guess what happened? The silly little puppy started following me again. In the end I picked up the little puppy much to mama’s annoyance, when Iset a little fluff ball down mama immediately took action. You can imagine what a stressed out mama would do. I mean come on I just picked up her baby and started walking away with it. Everything turned out fine though cuz I just brought the little puppy home.

When I got back Grammy fixed the bike, and then we set out for the grocery store and the pharmacy. There’s a hill on both sides of us where we’re staying so we had to bike down the hill. I felt kind of silly going down the steep hill holding the brakes. I pushed through anyway and we were off. First, we went to the grocery store to get our groceries. Then we were off to see the pharmacist. (I think I forgot to mention this, but the reason we’re going to the pharmacy is because I’ve had this on and off pain in my ear for a few days now. We were just going to get that checked out.) We got some drops for my ear and I got the stuff to help keep the water out of my ear.

It was hard work getting back up to the steep hill. We got up the hill got back to the place we’re staying and then we went for a little dip in the pool. Our hot, hot sweaty bodies loved the feel of the cold water. 💦 Anyway that’s it for today.
